Four years ago today, CasperLabs was officially born.
The ensuing years have marked the beginning of an exciting journey, which has seen Casper evolve from a small, dedicated team that could fit around a dinner table to a global, decentralized movement that has brought together tens of thousands of people.
While Casper’s official mainnet launch occurred in March 2021, it was a moment already years in the making. Thanks to the committed work of the CasperLabs team, which is now comprised of nearly 100 dedicated engineers, product leaders and creators spanning six continents, the project has always had an exceptionally strong foundation from which to grow. And we’re just getting started.
There remains a long road ahead, but we’d be remiss not to recognize this special milestone – and the people who are making it possible. To all current and past employees, along with partners, advisors, customers and others who have supported us on our journey so far, thank you. You are the bedrock of our community.
We’re proud to have played a role in helping to bring together such a talented and driven group, and we’re united in our mission of making blockchain technology more accessible to larger audiences. We’re at the dawn of a new era that will see blockchain’s potential transform from hype to reality.
With that said, we’re not here to rest on any laurels. Every day, we’re talking to some of the world’s largest and well-known companies about their blockchain journey – and how CasperLabs is ideally suited to enable it. From facilitating blockchain solutions for cities with millions of citizens, to partnering with one of the most trusted names in technology, to convening the industry leaders, policymakers and academics for one of the most anticipated annual events, the momentum behind CasperLabs – and the larger Casper network – is only growing.
We’ve got an even more ambitious roadmap ahead. In the coming months, look for major updates around Casper 2.0, a number of major new customers and more.
